MIRTHE+ develops optical sensors based on mid-IR QC lasers, detectors, and high quality photonic and photoacoustic sensor systems and provides compact, portable, affordable systems that deliver high sensitivity and selectivity sensing solutions to a broad range of chemical detection. This research builds upon the foundational of Material, Devices and Characterization, benefiting from novel devices that enable unique technological solutions in sensing systems, and provides the fully operational sensor systems (hard- and software) to solve new scientific problems in Applications and Testbeds.

* Insufficient S/N of sensor systems
* Insufficient reach of remote sensors
